From Design to Implementation of Vehicle Control for Remote and Autonomous Vehicle
Abstract
This paper prensents a method for development of a vehicle control module for remote and autonomous vehicle suitable for military applications. The key objective of the control system is to convert a manual driving vehicle into a computer controlled platform to perform remote control and autonomous navigation. Software analysis and design principles of the vehicle control module are presented in details. The control system consisting of PID controller has been physically implemented and tested under various terrain conditions. Field testing results are also discussed in the paper.
