Semi-Autonomous Coaxial Twin Contra-Rotor Helicopter

Pradeep Kumar Yadav, K. P. Karunakaran

Abstract

The presented paper reports the challenges and difficulties faced during the design and development of a contra-rotating twin-bladed miniature helicopter. The paper also describes the control dynamics of the mentioned Micro-Air Vehicle (MAV) helicopter. First, detailed conceptual design of the model is discussed with the comparison of conventional design and the presented design. The dynamic modelling of the MAV helicopter is also presented.
