Unmanned Marine Vehicles

Cadet Anubhav Kumar

Abstract

This paper discusses the requirements, design and operational aspects of the Unmanned Marine Vehicles (UMVs), namely the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and the Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) for robotics research and scientific applications, pointing out the synergies between the development of underwater and surface unmanned vehicles. The paper will also deals with efficient design aspect of ROVs and USVs which will cause low energy input to the vehicle operation for underwater or on the surface of water thus will also enhance the efficiency of the vehicle and allow its easy operation.
