Controller Design for Piezo Device Using a Microprocessor

Gwanwoo Yu, Taesam Kang

Abstract

A smart device has higher work density and energy efficiency with simple mechanism. Hence, a smart device can generate more large force than the exisiting actuators in board bandwidth in a compact size. Thus a smart device is stuied applications to the biomimetic artificial muscle. In this paper described are the model identification and control of a piezo electric actuator and experimental result of feedback controller. We tried modeling of the dynamics of the smart device. Then we designed PI controller using computer simulation and experiment.
