Smart Systems for Predictive Maintenance in Manufacturing Plants

Abstract


Smart systems for predictive maintenance are transforming manufacturing plants by minimizing downtime and enhancing equipment reliability. This paper explores the methodologies and technologies that enable predictive maintenance, focusing on applications in condition monitoring, data analytics, and maintenance scheduling. Through case studies, the paper highlights the benefits of implementing smart maintenance systems, including reduced operational costs, extended equipment lifespan, and improved production efficiency. Additionally, challenges related to data integration, technology adoption, and skilled workforce availability are discussed.
