Development of Mobile Robot for Exploring of Disaster Area in Tropical Climate Condition
Abstract
A mobile robot for exploring of Disaster Area in Tropical Climate Condition has been developed, and it has capability to travel over a circumstance of disaster area and can perform a range of functions like as pick sample and captures image using wireless camera. Furthermore, to maintenance the operation works of the robot in stand alone condition and in long time period then the power supply of the robot supported by solar panel. Construction of the robot consists of 2 degrees of freedom (DOF) in robot arm, including gripper, wireless camera, wireless RF controller and electrical controller of photovoltaic system. For the moving and picking up process the robot is controlled wirelessly by a person using radio remote control. This radio remote control employed by the PIC that has the transmitter and receiver module. This mobile robot provided by a wireless camera to monitor robot moving and allow the interaction between the user and the robot's environment.
