Automation in Retail Warehousing: Enhancing Efficiency and Accuracy

Abstract


Automation in retail warehousing is transforming supply chain operations by enhancing efficiency and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment. This paper examines the methodologies and technologies behind automated warehousing systems, focusing on their applications in picking, packing, and shipping processes. Through case studies, the paper highlights the benefits of automation in retail warehousing, including increased throughput, reduced labor costs, and improved order accuracy. Additionally, challenges related to implementation costs, system integration, and workforce adaptation are discussed.
