Smart Systems in the Evolution of Next-Generation Telecom Networks

S Vinoth Kumar, Mhd Ichwan Nawval

Abstract

The evolution of telecommunications networks into 5G and beyond is underpinned by the development of smart systems that enhance performance, flexibility, and scalability. Smart systems, integrating AI, automation, and IoT, are key enablers of next-generation telecom networks, providing intelligent resource allocation, adaptive network management, and real-time optimization. This paper explores the role of smart systems in shaping the future of telecom, focusing on their application in network virtualization, edge computing, and autonomous network operations. The paper also presents case studies demonstrating improvements in network efficiency, security, and service delivery.

Keywords

smart systems, 5G, network virtualization, edge computing.
