IoT and Smart Systems for Precision Irrigation

Abstract


The integration of IoT and smart systems is transforming precision irrigation practices, enhancing water management and crop productivity. This paper examines the applications of IoT technologies in irrigation, focusing on real-time soil moisture monitoring, automated irrigation scheduling, and data analytics. By presenting case studies, the paper highlights the benefits of IoT-enabled irrigation systems, including water conservation, improved crop yields, and reduced operational costs. Additionally, the challenges of implementing IoT solutions in diverse agricultural settings are discussed, along with future prospects for smart irrigation.
