System Development of a Small Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) for Underwater Surveillance Missions

Nico Prayogo, Agus Budiyono

Abstract

This paper presents the system development of a small Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) designed for surveillance missions. The ROV incorporates advanced hardware and software components to enable efficient data collection and analysis under remote control. The system architecture includes a robust waterproof body structure, propulsion systems, sensors, and communication devices. Intelligent algorithms facilitate real-time data analysis, while machine learning enables object recognition and tracking. Field experiments validate the ROV's performance in data collection and adaptability to varying environmental conditions. The research contributes to the field of ROV technology, showcasing its potential for underwater surveillance applications. Future work can focus on enhancing system capabilities and exploring additional domains of application for remotely operated underwater vehicles.
