Static output feedback control for an integrated guidance and control of a micro air vehicle
In this paper, a static output feedback controller is designed or a 150mm fixed wing micro air vehicle (MAV). In conventional aircraft control design, the longitudinal and lateral dynamics are treated separately, whereas here due to the strong coupling between the longitudinal and lateral dynamics, a controller is designed using a novel eight state dynamic model. The design is carried out in digital domain which helps in practical implementation of the proposed controller. A blend of classical H∞ robust control and evolutionary algorithm (genetic algorithm) is used to obtain the static output feedback gains. The proposed controller is also designed for a novel twelve state integrated guidance and control framework.
