Autonomous UAV-Based Delivery Systems: Logistics and Optimization Models

Vishnu Kumar Kaliappan

Abstract

This paper investigates autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)-based delivery systems, focusing on logistics and optimization models to enhance operational efficiency. We propose a framework that integrates route planning, resource allocation, and real-time tracking to optimize delivery processes. The study emphasizes the importance of addressing challenges such as payload capacity, urban airspace restrictions, and customer requirements. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed models, showcasing their ability to improve delivery times and reduce operational costs. This research contributes to the advancement of UAV-based delivery systems, paving the way for more efficient and sustainable logistics solutions.
